Machine I Been

She's a thoughtful cyborg, with a mind that grows and grows...

Mon Dieu! Last night I attended what had to be, without a doubt, the best live performance I've ever seen. The band was *Galactic*. The venue was House of Blues, Hollywood. It was this groovy, funky, jazzy, rock, all-night, dance party jam session! Their music has this way of growing and swelling and building up this amazing anticipation... then exploding in this brilliant climax of sound and light and power...

P.S.--New musical obsession: Stanton Moore. He's the drummer for Galactic *and* Garage A Trois and therefore I love him.

I'm listening to Rufus Wainwright's new album, "Want One," and I'm thinking it may be even better than his self-titled debut, which I loved. So I'm looking at this picture of Rufus on the cover of the CD, and he's looking oh-so-sullen in his shining armor costume. And I think to myself, "*I* want one." Unfortunately, my powers of seduction are lost on the flamboyantly gay. Sigh! Oh well. :P

Phew! I finally have a moment of spare time to say a few words and keep my blog fresh. :) I spent the most bitchin' weekend ever in Vegas. A large group of friends and I bonded over drinks, dancing, and half naked Australians. :) It rocked. My ears rang for hours. I took a fruit-scented shower. Stephen paid off half his fridge with his poker winnings, and Cing yelled the loudest of all during girls' night out. We didn't get a chance to visit the New York New York buffet, but the champagne brunch at Bellagio was almost as good, if not better. :)
