Machine I Been

She's a thoughtful cyborg, with a mind that grows and grows...

Sigh... last Sunday I finally went to the concert I've been waiting 12 years to see... Simon and Garfunkel! I've seen both their solo shows, but it was the duo of Simon and Garfunkel that I've loved ever since I popped in their Greatest Hits tape when I was 10. I was moved to tears twice: during I am a Rock and American Tune. It's very strange how Paul Simon's lyrics make more sense 40 years later... he writes about memories, aging, the passing of time... lyrics like "Time hurries on, and the leaves that are green turn to brown" and "How terribly strange to be seventy" really have different meanings from age 22 to age 62. Anyway, the show was awesome. :)

In other news, last week I had a voice recital which I thought went really well. I hit all my notes, remembered all the words, and most importantly, had a lot of fun up there. Some guy from the audience came up to me afterward and said, "I like your rock and roll!"... which made me feel all special inside. :P
