Something remarkable is happening. I'm enjoying food! And not just chocolate chip cookies and ice cream! Real food! I'm even... almost... making food! (With help from * * * John * * * of course. :P) Yesterday I actually got excited about making chicken burritos!! Maybe one day he'll even promote me from lunch to dinner duties, and let me use the stove! Haha. I feel so happy and healthy and well-fed. Who knew eating well was so good for you?!

There's been a dearth of blog updates all around. What's everyone up to?

I've been all over the place lately, whisking John away to various interesting spots in the L.A. area. It's been a good music week--we went to Amoeba Music and acquired music from the following artists: Natalie Merchant, Boston, Bright Eyes, Leontyne Price, Billy Bragg and Wilco, Van Morisson. Sunday we saw Leoncavallo's "Pagliacci" at Dorothy Chandler (oh Nedda, your voice is a blessing to my ears); tonight, we saw The Decemberists at Henry Fonda. Their opening act was incredible--Petra Haden, will you marry me?

My fate for the next month has been decided. Behold:

Week of Sept 25: Hawaii, working days.
October 1: NEIL DIAMOND IN CONCERT!
October 2 - 4: Recovering from said concert.
October 5 - 15: Hawaii, working days.
Week of October 16: Hawaii, working nights.
