Hmm... had an interesting night swing dancing yesterday. I ran into one of my old dance partners from Cal Poly Social Dance Society. For those of you who knew him, it was J.P., the creepy guy who didn't dance very well and always stared at your breasts/feet/whatever. (He's gotten a lot better at dancing since those Cal Poly days! Granted, he still isn't great, but I only saw him glance downwards once!) And the highlight of the night was... *drum roll* ...swing dancing with Bill Nye the Science Guy!! He's a pretty good dancer! "It's all physics," he told me. :)

Pleh! Hey everybody. I just got back from what must have been the longest two weeks of my life. I've been in Hawaii, working 10-16 hour shifts without any weekend breaks, while trying to fend off a hacking cough and also, menstruating. I apologize to anyone I was rude to in the last two weeks, because, as you can imagine, I was pretty pissed off most of the time. But, the observing run was a success, and now I'm back in sunny Los Angeles and couldn't be happier about it!
I took the day off and made a real effort to purge my mind of thoughts, so I drove down to Citrus College to buy my Human Sexuality textbook, then to West Hollywood for sex accessories. I pretty much spent the afternoon cruising down those busy highways, listening to ABBA and singing along. It was wonderful. I didn't even care that there was traffic.

Hey all, the tour dates for the Wainwright/Folds "Odd Men Out" tour have just been announced. (Special guest, Ben Lee! Omfg!) Hit benfolds.com for the schedule. They are playing two shows at the Wiltern, but I will be in fucking Hawaii. Grrr! Because I simply cannot miss this show, I'm willing to make the 6 hour drive to Saratoga. Or I could fly. Haven't decided yet. The Saratoga show's on a Wednesday, by the way. Anyone interested in joining me?!
For the interstate readers of this blog, the tour is coming to Boston. The closest they'll be to Utah is Denver and Las Vegas.
