House cleaning.
My mom has recently decided to purge her house of unnecessary possessions. Good for her! But now, I'm on a mission to rescue my old stuff from the donation box! Every time I visit her, I leave with a few college textbooks (you can use them for reference! Not that I ever *have*...), school notebooks (complete with bawdy notes and illustrations), and cassette tapes (grunge! It was all the rage.)
A few observations:
1) Wow. Cassettes sound like crap.
2) I guess I had a lot of time -- I taped volumes and volumes of music from the radio, painstakingly labeled the contents of each tape, and lovingly listened to each and every one. Mostly live performances and rarities, but there's a fair share of straight-up radio tracks there too.
3) Children's music is well-represented: the Aladdin soundtrack, Saturday Morning: cartoon's greatest hits (which I'd still give a fair listen to today), Madonna's "I'm Breathless" from her Dick Tracy / Vogue phase. By the way, "I'm Breathless" is technically a children's album -- I listened to it as a child -- but it definitely has adult themes. There's this one song, "Hanky Panky"...
4) My taste in music was not that bad. Pearl Jam, REM, lots of Counting Crows. There were a few misses though -- Live, Candlebox, Mad Season. Hey, it was the 90s.
5) I was really, really oversexed in college. I guess I've always been highly interested in sex, but my attitudes have evolved over the years and I have different forms of expression now. Back in my early 20s, apparently my primary medium was the pornographic cartoon:

(Cropped for your imagination.)
Remember that song "Hanky Panky" I alluded to earlier? It all makes sense now...
Edited to add: Let's play Complete-the-Cartoon! Describe the good mistress's partner(s) in the comments section. Don't forget the frisky dialogue! I'll post the original, completed cartoon in a few days.
