Feeling happy and weird.

1) I've been inspired by some juicy gossip at the French lunch table at work (if you wanna know, ask. It's hot.)

2) Westwood is awesome. I spent a lot of time there last week for the L.A. Film Festival, and as a bonus, we got to check out the residential areas, restaurants, and theatres. It's really cool there -- can't wait to move there in the fall.

3) We attended 5 screenings and 1 limited release. So many good movies out there! I highly recommend The Choir, a documentary following a South African prison choir as they discover redemption through music, and Encounters at the End of the World, Herzog's latest. It's a documentary about Antarctica -- the interesting stories of people who work there, the scientific research, and wow wow wow the amazing landscapes. It's fun, thoughtful, and entertaining... and not just for people who are fascinated with Antarctica like I am.

4) Travel: July 9 - 17, Hawaii. August 8-10, Las Vegas. August 22-24, San Francisco. Sometime between August 25 and September 23, Europe, babeh!

My House fanvid. :)

Hello! I usually post my House-related thoughts and projects to my LJ, but I'm kinda proud of this, so I thought I'd share it here too. It's a House/Wilson slash video I made, set to "Good Lovin" by The Rascals. :D

Virtual MASH!

Remember MASH, that game we used to play as little kids which predicted our future husband, honeymoon spot, occupation, car, and so on?

There's a virtual version of it!!!

I entered five unique choices for each category. Look!

Notes:
-Princeton-Plainsboro is the setting of House.
-I can't wait to make the neighbors jealous with my sweet ride.
-Time to start investing in giant fans and adding to my collection of feather boas. I know it'll be hard to keep on dancing after having a kid, or heck, 21 kids. But MASH doesn't lie!!!

Now you play!

Eye doctor.

I went to the optometrist today. I had a nagging feeling that my prescription had changed, but mostly I was fed up with my old frumpy glasses. It's been 5 years! I trotted out of the office with a new pair of contacts (the world is in focus again, yay!) and a receipt for glasses that look approximately like this:

Yep, I bought two-tone Buddy Holly glasses in tortoise and lavender. I'm now fashionably equipped to blend in at concerts with Weezer, The Decemberists, Ben Folds, They Might Be Giants... and, um, wherever else young, ironic hipsters flock. Sorry to rush, but I have to get ready for a date with The Mountain Goats at the Natural History Museum. Ta-ta for now! :)

Quiz time!

I will award a **gold star** to whomever can identify the movie reference of my current doll!
