Hello friends! I hope you all had a great Christmas weekend! Woo!

Hi everyone! I just got back from Las Vegas for my birthday, and of course the first thing I had to do was update the webiste. :P Anyway, I had fun! I think I'm finally ready to admit that I love Las Vegas. I don't care that it's bizarre and artificial, because Las Vegas doesn't care that it's bizarre and artificial; in fact, it celebrates its shameless flamboyance! Plus, the nightlife and entertainment culture there is just spectacular. So, rock on, Vegas!

We did the usual things--lounging, strolling, shopping, dining, dancing, drinking. The Paris Hotel has a shop devoted to selling Queen merchandise to promote We Will Rock You, the Queen musical. I wanted to stay in there and watch music videos all day. It took all the self-control I had not to buy up all the over-priced merchandise ($65 for a tank top!!)

Also, I visited Rain at the Palms. This club is magnificent. It is huge, and crowded, and there are pyrotechnics there!! It was very exciting. Even though the single guys there were really sleazy. The guys were much more respectful at the smaller clubs I went to, though some guys just won't step off, even after you tell them you have a boyfriend and direct their attention to your four beefy guy-friends. Oh well!

And finally, I watched a funny erotic movie in the hotel room, where the narrator/star had a robotic arm (which she used to smoke cigarettes with) and was telling saucy tales to a dying alien in an iron lung. Yay!

Hey kids! And now, a post for the easily amused.

Remember those memory devices we used when we were children, to remember things like the order of the planets in our solar system? Here's the one I knew:

My very educated mother just served us nine pizzas.

The first letter of every word corresponds to the first letter of the planets in order: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto.

Now, in French!

Mon voisin très malin (a) justement situé une neuvieme planete. Remember that French for Earth is "terre." :)

Now, let's invent our own!
